The E|MERGE Interdisciplinary Collaborative Residency curates performance and visual artists, activists, scholars, and those interested in developing new forms across disciplines. E|MERGE works to promote the interchange of ideas, artistic innovation and the creation of new collaborative models continuing beyond the residency itself.

Jeca Rodríguez-Colón participated in E|MERGE 2014, as part of the Math Time project a vision and direction of Kensaku Shinohara.

Math Time is a discussion of what mathematical patterns, systems, and ideas we have around us; what impressions we have toward them; what their function is; and how they can be transferred to performance. The beauty of shapes and patterns is applied to dance, physical performance, installation, visual arts, music, and poem/speaking. How we can expand our vocabulary using mathematical ideas?
